Company Type Admin
Select the following menu item to navigate to the Company Type Admin screen.
The purpose of this area is to allow you to set up the types of companies you'll deal with and what you want to call them. The typical ones are Manufacturer, Distributor, and Operator but there are also companies like Brokers, Retailers, etc. We've found where one manufacturer likes to use the word Distributor while another likes to use Retailer for example. You can build and name them anything you want. At some point you'll load in all the companies and will link each one to one of these Company Types.
To add a new Company Type, click the Add button at the bottom of the screen. When you set up a new Company Type, there is a column labeled Internal Company Type. If Distributor is selected in the Internal Company Type column, the Companies set up with the corresponding Company Type Description will be available for selection on the Contract's Distributor Tab when building a deviated price contract. For example, in the picture below, the eligible companies that would display in the Contract's Distributor Tab would be companies linked to both the Distributor and Wholesaler Company Type Descriptions.
Don't forget to click Save after adding a new Company Type or editing an existing Company Type.
