Company Aggregate Admin

The Company Aggregate Admin is broken out into two screens:

The Company Aggregate Grouping Definition Admin is where the Groupings are defined.

The Company Aggregate Association Admin is where the Companies will be added to the previously defined Aggregate Groupings.

The purpose of Aggregate Companies is to take companies which are actually the exact same location and group them together. For example consider the following company records:

Sysco Atlanta - company number A-12345

Sysco Atlanta - company number B-98765

Sysco Atlanta - company number C-17785

There is only ONE company here - Sysco Atlanta - and the different company numbers could represent Ship To, Bill To, etc. types of companies. Since we want to treat all these companies as one entity - Sysco Atlanta - we would create an Aggregate Group called Sysco Atlanta and put all 3 of the companies within that group.

This means that if a claim comes in for company number A-12345 but the contractee is B-98765 then that claim won't pend for ineligible distributor. And if sales comes in for company C-17785 then the pricing can be calculated on the claim with claimant A-12345 since the companies are aggregated.

Finding Records with the Hierarchy

To find where a User or Company is within the hierachy, select (highlight) the row within the grid. Then click the Cycle through item in Hierarchy button. Each time the button is clicked, it will move through all locations in the hierarchy where the selected row is a member.

There is also an option to Expand All and Collapse All of the hierarchy.

Company Aggregate Grouping Definition Admin

This is where aggregate groupings can be added or modified. To add a new grouping, click Add. This will open the editor to the right. Enter in the Grouping Description, Grouping CD, and select a Company Type. The Active box will be checked by default.

Note that when selecting a Company Type, only companies with the same company type can be added to that aggregate grouping. Once companies are assigned to that group, the Company Type cannot be changed.

Don't forget to click Save after Adding or Editing

Company Aggregate Association Admin

To add companies to the Company Aggregate Groupings previously defined, navigate to the Company Aggregate Association Admin screen. The grid will display all companies. The first column labeled Hierarchy Member indicates if a company is a member of a grouping. If false, the company is not yet assigned to an aggregate group. If true, the company is assigned to an aggregate group - select a company row in the grid and then click the Cycle through item in Hierarchy button. The aggregate grouping on the right will expand and display to which aggregate grouping that company is a member.

In the screenshot below, the company grid is filtered to a Company Name containing “Naples”. Neither company is a member of an aggregate group - note the hierarchy member column is false.

To add these companies to the previously created aggregate group USF Naples Test, select the rows and drag them to the group on the right. Multiple rows can be moved at once by using the shift or ctrl button while selecting the rows.

The hierarchy member will update to true and the companies will display as members of the aggregate group.

Don't forget to click Save

Set Parent

A Parent Company can be set for members within an aggregate group. Only one company of the group can be set as the Parent.

To set a parent company, select the company row within the company grid. Then click the Set Parent button at the bottom of the screen.

This will change the icon on the company in the grouping section from to . The star indicates the Parent company.

To clear a parent company, select the company row within the company grid. Then click the Clear Parent button at the bottom of the screen.

Don't forget to click Save

Note: The Price List by Company does not use the Aggregate Company feature.
