Void Transaction
If a payment has been made on a claim and needs to be cancelled, a user with permissions can Void that transaction. Once a payment has been voided, it cannot be undone.
If the Claim’s Payment Transaction Type is Check, make sure the check has not been cashed and create a stop payment.
If the Claim’s Transaction Type is a Deduction that was already cleared, then make sure the clearing can be wiped out from the client’s deduction application so a new clearing can be sent.
To void the transaction, navigate to the Transactions tab on the claim. The last column in the grid is the Void column.
Click Void. Once the transaction is voided, a void date and time will display in the transactions grid related to the original transaction.
Mass Void
Claim search, there is a new button at the bottom called mass void. You must have rights to void transactions to use this button.
Search for the transactions you want to void, select the lines you want to update in your search results.
Click on mass void, a box will appear with all the records you selected. If you choose lines with no transaction, you will see them listed as bad rows. There also is an alert letting you know if the claims you chose are tied to a deduction. PLEASE NOTE:
There is no way to remove a void so make sure you have the correct claim ids selected.
Click on the box next to Claims tied to an XXX to proceed with the void
